本技術可增進現有OLED顯示器與照明技術之光電效率,具有良好之產品或技術之競爭性及市場的可行性,具有潛力應用於有機發光元件(OLED)照明及顯示、軟性可撓有機發光元件(OLED)照明及顯示、軟性電子、印刷電子、有機電子及光電子相關廠商及產品。 有機發光元件(OLED)內部效率不斷地提升,但受限於傳統元件光學結構,一般OLED外部出光效率僅有約20-25%,因此開發元件出光效率增強技術相當關鍵。本發明主要即在提供一能有效增強OLED出光效率的元件結構,以及能有效增強出光效率的OLED元件結構。本技術能提供相當高之出光效率。 本技術可增進現有OLED顯示器與照明技術之光電效率,提供相當高之出光效率,具有良好之產品或技術之競爭性及市場的可行性。 目前一些其他OLED出光效率增強技術,例如microlens、surface textures、scattering、embedded low-index grids、embedded grating/corrugation、embedded photonic crystals、high-index substrates等等,但常有太複雜/昂貴、並且所能達到之出光效率仍相當有限。本技術提供相當高之出光效率,具有良好之產品或技術之競爭性及市場的可行性。 There is a current need for organic light-emitting device (OLED) structures that can enhance optical efficiency for both display and lighting applications. The present invention provides a device structure that can be used to substantially enhance optical out-coupling efficiency of OLEDs. Currently overall OLED external efficiencies are still restricted by limited light extraction efficiencies of OLED structures. The present invention provides a device structure that can enhance optical out-coupling efficiencies. It can provide very high optical out-coupling efficiencies and thus is useful for OLED display and lighting technologies. The present invention provides an OLED structure that can enhance optical out-coupling efficiencies for display and lighting applications. It provides very high optical out-coupling efficiencies compared to other known techniques, and thus it has good feasibility and competitiveness for OLED display/lighting products. The present invention is suitable for applications and markets of OLED displays/lighting and flexible OLED displays/lighting. It provides very high optical out-coupling efficiencies compared to other known techniques, such as microlens, surface textures, scattering, embedded grating/corrugation/photonic crystals/low-index grids etc. Thus it has good feasibility and competitiveness for OLED display/lighting products.
