雙路徑誤差放大電路及直流轉直流穩壓裝置

近年來可攜式電子產品已是多數人不可或缺的必需品,諸如智慧型手機、數位相機、筆記型電腦等產品。為了攜帶便利,可攜式電子產品朝向輕量化及微型化發展。外接式電感或電容都將佔據可觀的電路面積、增加成本並阻礙系統單封裝與微小化趨勢。此外,直流/直流轉換器於啟動過程中,易於產生過大的浪湧電流而燒毀元件。本專利擬針對小面積與低功耗之電源管理晶片進行設計研究。雙路徑電容倍增技術,除了可大幅縮減補償電容值,亦可改善直流/直流轉換器的暫態響應。新緩啟動方法則一併解決所需的大電容或小充電電流之問題。 Recently, portable electronic products such as smart phones, digital cameras and notebooks have become an essential part of our daily lives. It is highly desirable to make those electronic devices small and light-weighted for portability. The off-chip inductors and capacitors occupy the significant size of PCB, add production cost, and obstruct system-on-package applications. In addition, the dc-dc converters are easy to suffer the large inrush current to damage devices in the startup process. In this patent, area-efficiency and low-power consumption functions of a power management IC will be studied. The dual-path capacitor multiplier technique not only effectively reduces the compensation capacitance, but also significantly improves the transient response of the dc-dc converter. The novel soft-start method solves the issues of the large capacitor or the small charging current.
