技術說明

根據研究，白點症病毒 (WSSV) 係利用封套蛋白VP53A與蝦細胞膜蛋白結合，而達成入侵細胞的目的。因此本發明乃關於一種治療或預防白點症病毒感染之組合物—VP53A與蝦幾丁質結合蛋白，包括此二種蛋白質或其片段及前述組合之多肽，以及載體。根據本發明，蝦幾丁結合蛋白或白點症病毒VP53A蛋白可用於預防蝦類白點症感染，其意指將蝦幾丁結合蛋白或白點症病毒VP53A蛋白投予一感染白點症、表現出感染症狀或有感染可能之蝦類，可使該蝦類達到治癒、減輕、緩和、改善、改變或影響該病毒感染、其引發症狀或感染傾向之目的。具體而言，本發明之蝦幾丁結合蛋白或白點症病毒VP53A蛋白可降低白點症病蝦之死亡率。 The present invention relates to a composition for treating or preventing white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infection comprising a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of shrimp chitin-binding protein (CBP), WSSV VP53A protein, fragments thereof, and combinations thereof; and a carrier. According to the present invention, CBP and VP53A can be applied to prevent shrimps from WSS. Both VP53A and CBP can reduce the mortalities of the shrimps which were challenged by WSSV.
