技術說明

本發明提供一種高密度雙晶金屬薄膜的製作方法，包含以下步驟：(a)於一基板上形成一金屬薄膜，該金屬薄膜是由一具有面心立方晶體結構或一六方密堆積晶體結構的金屬材料所製成；及(b)離子轟擊該設置於一真空腔體中的金屬薄膜；其中，該步驟(b)是在一低於-20℃的工作溫度下實施，且該步驟(b)是在一大於該金屬薄膜之一應變能的離子轟擊能量下實施，以使該金屬薄膜因該大於該金屬薄膜之一疊差能的應變能而產生一塑性變形，並從而於其內部形成形變雙晶。 This invention provides a method for making metal film with high density of twins, which comprises the steps of (a) forming a metal film made of a metal material having a face-centered cubic crystal structure or a hexagonal close-packed crystal structure on a substrate, and (b) ion bombarding the metal film placed in a vacuum chamber, wherein the step (b) is performed at a working temperature lower than -20℃, and the step (b) is performed under an ion bombarding energy greater than a strain energy of the metal film, so as to create a plastic deformation to the metal film by the strain energy greater than a stacking fault energy of the metal film and thus to form deformation twins in the metal film.
