本發明揭示一種用於治療一個體的方法,該個體具有或被懷疑具有一與該個體之ㄧ或多個基因的異常低度甲基化(aberrant hypomethylation)有關聯的疾病或病況,該方法涉及該個體之一量身訂作的表觀基因體修飾(tailored epigenomic modification),該修飾使用針對該個體中的低度甲基化基因之經甲基化的聚核酸。 本發明亦揭示一種用於治療一個體的醫藥組成物,該個體具有或被懷疑具有一與該個體之ㄧ或多個基因的異常低度甲基化有關聯的疾病或病況,該組成物包括針對該個體中的低度甲基化基因之經甲基化的聚核酸,俾以在投藥之時引起該個體之一量身訂作的表觀基因體修飾。 Disclosed herein is a method for treating a subject having or suspected of having a disease or condition associated with aberrant hypomethylation of one or more genes in the subject, the method involving a tailored epigenomic modification of the subject using methylated polynucleotides directed to hypomethylated genes in the subject. Also disclosed herein is a medicinal composition for treating a subject having or suspected of having a disease or condition associated with aberrant hypomethylation of one or more genes in the subject, the composition including methylated polynucleotides directed to hypomethylated genes in the subject, so as to result in a tailored epigenomic modification of the subject upon administration.
