技術說明

本專利提出一種液晶透鏡利用內建液晶及高分子複合薄膜於液晶透鏡裡以實現低電壓及大對焦範圍之液晶透鏡。此液晶及高分子複合薄膜具有不均勻之介電係數分佈，不但可作為液晶透鏡的配向層本身亦具有一固定焦距，此液晶透鏡之焦距由液晶層及液晶及高分子複合薄膜所貢獻，其中液晶層造成電動對焦，而液晶及高分子複合薄膜造成固定焦距。此液晶透鏡與傳統液晶透鏡相比具低電壓操作、構造簡單及整體厚度降低的優點，令此透鏡在應用上更有優勢。 This invention proposed a liquid crystal lens (LC lens) using the LC/polymer composite film(LCPCF) to realize a new LC lens with a low driving voltage while maintaining large tunable focusing properties. The LCPCF, a layer with an inhomogeneous distribution of dielectric constants, can not only align the liquid crystal directors but also acts as a thin lens with a fixed focal length. The focal length of such a LC lens is a combination of a tunable focus length resulting from the LC layers and a fixed focal length resulting from the LCPCF. The driving voltage of the LC lens is lower than the conventional liquid crystal lens due to the larger and inhomogeneous distribution of dielectric constants. The simple structure and easy fabrication process can provide more predominance in applications.
