經修飾微氣泡及其製備方法

所有年齡階段的男性和女性都有脫髮症的困擾,隨著年齡的增長發病率越來越高。雄激素性脫髮(androgenetic alopecia, AGA)是脫髮的最常見的形式,它的特點是在男性顳額葉部位頭部髮量減少和婦女頭頂中部髮量變薄的特定模式。 AGA通過在無論是在男性或女性遺傳都易受到毛囊雄激素誘導。受到誘導的毛囊二氫睾酮(dihydrotestosterone)結合於雄激素受體讓毛囊萎縮,毛囊的生長周期變得越來越短,長出來的頭髮越來越細或甚至消失。米諾地爾(Minoxidil)(落建)是唯一男性和女性所通用的藥物,並且是由美國食品和藥物管理局(FDA)為治療AGA所批准的藥品。但是,在完全禿髮區塊效果不彰,而且需要長期的使用才能見到療效。本研究建立了一個新的超音波(ultrasound)微氣泡(microbubbles)造影劑,以幾丁聚寡糖乳酸鹽(chitosan oligosaccharide lactate)和米諾地爾塗佈的微泡,並以超音波調控微泡球殼上的米諾地爾,以穴蝕(cavitation)效應促進米諾地爾藥物釋放,以提高毛髮的生長率和縮短療程,並設計一個適用在臨床上使用的裝置,讓微氣泡與超音波探頭能貼附並方便移動於頭皮上。 Topical minoxidil (Mx) (Rogaine) is the only medication that can be used by both men and women, and approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. However, it does not work on completely bald areas and only works over the long term if the users continue using it. Moreover, in clinical, some patients present with complaints of pruritus and scaling of the scalp. It was found that propylene glycol was the majority factor, not the Mx itself. Many candidates for treatment with alternative formulations using other solvents were considered, such as butylene glycol, polysorbate, or glycerol. To decrease the treatment of course and improve the immunogenicity, a new ultrasound contrast agent, chitosan oligosaccharide lactate (COL) and Mx coated microbubbles (MBs) were created and combined with ultrasound (US) energy in water-phase to enhance hair growth and reduce the treatment period.
