一種壓力感測元件及其陣列

本提案使用本實驗室自行研發之垂直式有機電晶體,將此電晶體與壓力感測層垂直結合製作成為壓力感測元件、陣列或觸控面版。此垂直式電晶體稱為高分子空間電荷電晶體。壓力感測層是以橡膠與導電顆粒均勻混合而成的膜。當壓力施加於壓力感測層時,此壓力感測層之體積受壓縮,而其中導電顆粒之間的距離縮小,因此造成壓力感測層的導電率增加。由於本實驗室自行開發之垂直式有機電晶體操作電壓只需要4V即可正常操作,因此本提案提出之壓力感測元件用低電壓即可操作。無須跟一般有機場效應電晶體使用高操作壓。且由於元件主動區面積由互相重疊的面積決定,因此可以藉由縮小各個電極之線寬即可達到將一個壓力感測單元之面積縮小。因為所使用的材料為有機材料,若將元件製作於軟性基版上則可以達到軟性之壓力感測器與陣列,有利於裝置於不規則物體表面。 The pressure sensing layer is made by blending rubber and conducting particle. When pressure is applied on the pressure sensing layer, the distance between conducting particles is reduced and the conductivity of this pressure sensing layer is increased. Since the polymer space-charge-limited transistor can be operated as low as 4 volts, the pressure sensing device disclosed in this patent can be operated without high voltage like conventional organic field-effect transistor. Besides, the active area of one pressure sensing device can be reduced by reducing the electrode line width, since the active area of the polymer space-charge-limited transistor is defined by cross-section area between different electrodes. Furthermore, since the pressure sensing device is made by organic materials, the pressure sensing array can be installed on any irregular surface when the device is fabricated on flexible substrate.
