一種使用式化合物（即，γ-Bisabolene）於製造藥劑之用途： 其中，該藥劑係用於抑制癌細胞之組織蛋白去乙醯酶2（histone deacetylase 2，HDAC2）的磷酸化、增加癌細胞之p53蛋白的乙醯化、增加癌細胞之促細胞凋亡基因（apoptosis-promoting gene）的表現、及／或刺激癌細胞之細胞凋亡相關蛋白（apoptosis-related protein）的活化。該藥劑亦可用於抑制癌細胞生長。 A use of compound of formula (I) (i.e., γ-Bisabolene) in manufacturing medicaments is provided: wherein the medicament is used for inhibiting the phosphorylation of histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) in cancer cells, increasing the acetylation of p53 protein in cancer cells, increasing the expression of apoptosis-promoting genes in cancer cells, and/ or stimulating the activation of apoptosis-related proteins in cancer cells. The medicament is also used for inhibiting the growth of cancer cells.
