白光發光二極體裝置

本發明提供一種可同時提升白光發光二極體元件之發光效率與演色性及其製作的方法。上述發光二極體包含一對電極;一反射杯;一藍光發光二極體晶粒,設置於該反射杯中;一包覆材,位於該反射杯中且包覆該發光二極體晶粒;以及一複合螢光粉,分散於該包覆材中,且該複合螢光粉為傳統螢光粉與量子點的混合物,該量子點具有CdSe和ZnxCd1-xSe的化學式,其粒徑介於2~10 nm,且具有介於540~620 nm之間的發射波長。量子點添加比例為0~10 wt%,以此複合螢光粉封裝而成的白光LED,相較於市售白光LED其發光效率可提升3~11 %與演色性可提升4~7 %。 The invention provides a white light emitting diode and the method for fabricating thereof. The device comprises a pair of electrodes, a holder electrically contacted with the electrodes, a light emitting diode chip disposed in the holder, a polymer material in the holder and covering the light emitting diode chip, a composite phosphor with quantum dot mixing with traditional phosphor in the polymer material, in which the quantum dot have formula as CdSe and ZnxCd1-xSe (0≦x<1) and luminous wavelength between 540~620 nm. The particle size of those quantum dots are between 2 to 10 nm. When the content of quantum dot is between 0 to 10 wt%, both of the efficiency and color rendering index of composite-based WLED are improved. The improvemtnt of efficiency is between 3 to 11 % and CRI is between 4~7 %.
