技術說明

一種不使用電阻、電容或電流源作為數位類比轉換單位元件之數位類比轉換器(DAC)實現方式。數位類比轉換可以此方式實現：先將輸入之PCM訊號微分、映對其數位code值至量化脈衝寬度調變(QPWM)訊號，接著轉換為類比訊號並將之積分。不同於傳統數位類比轉換器，此專利發明之轉換器並不受到單位元件的不匹配(mismatch)問題而產生失真雜訊(distortion)。一具體實現方式運用包含了一個微分器、一PCM-to-QPWM轉換器、一1.5位元數位類比轉換器以及一類比積分器。在PCM-to-QPWM轉換器中，使用了一除頻器陣列(frequency divider array)以及一組合邏輯網路(combinational logic network)。 A method for digital-to-analog converter (DAC) without utilizing elements like resistors, capacitors or current sources to perform the conversion. The digital-to-analog conversion can be done by first differentiated, mapping the pulse code modulation(PCM) signal to the quantized pulse width modulation (QPWM) signal, and then integrating the QPWM signal to convert it into analog domain. Unlike the conventional DAC, the presented invention does not suffer from the induced distortion by mismatch elements. A preferred embodiment comprises a differentiator, a PCM-to-QPWM converter, a 1.5-bit DAC, and an analog integrator. In the PCM-to-QPWM converter, a frequency divider array and a combinational logic network are utilized.
