技術說明

隨著全球防止贓車犯罪與得來速隨車商務的需求居高不下，在任何時間與任何地點都可以執行正確且快速的汽機車車牌辨識技術將變得愈來愈重要。但是要避免傳統汽機車車牌辨識技術的人工按鍵錯誤或按鍵時間太久的缺失，將是一大技術挑戰。因此，本發明專利提出「手持式與固定式兩用之自動電子車牌辨識裝置」，不僅可以辨識原本的傳統車牌影像字元，也可以辨識未來具備射頻識別標籤(RFID Tag)的電子車牌號碼，以便擴大應用於贓車追查、路邊臨檢、停車管理、貨櫃物流、交通違規、邊防檢查、得來速服務、汽車保養廠、智慧型運輸系統及電子收費服務等。本發明專利在任何時間與任何地點都能辨識電子車牌號碼與傳統車牌影像字元，然後在「終端裝置內建的車牌資料庫」做自動比對或將車牌號碼傳送至「大型主機伺服器中的遠端車牌資料庫」去做自動比對與檢閱，以擴大車牌辨識的可靠度與實用性，並整合於各類車牌辨識的應用中 With the ever-increasing demand of anti-crimes and drive-through services, the demand to perform accurate and quick vehicle License Plate Recognition (LPR) anywhere, anytime is more and more eager. In order to avoid the fault of manual key-in error and manual key-in time-consuming, “portable and fixed automatic electronic license plate recognition device” is proposed and invented. It not only can investigate traditional license plate characters from the scene images, but also can identify futuristic electronic license plate numbers from RFID tags. So it can be extensively applied to stolen vehicle tracking, roadside vehicle inspection, parking access control, cargo container logistics, traffic violation enforcement, border custom checkpoints, drive-through services, automotive restoration management, intelligent transportation system, electronic toll collection, and so on.
