技術說明

本發明揭露，對神經興奮性毒性損傷而言，併用明美丁（memantine，甲基天門冬酸受體拮抗劑）及茶多酚（一種抗氧化及抗發炎藥物）對腦神經細胞遭受興奮性(如NMDA)之傷害,而引發氧自由基產生過多,或粒腺體功能不正常而導致腦神經細胞傷害致死之作用,均呈現有意義的抑制作用，比單獨使用明美丁或茶多酚更為有效(增益性)。本發明亦揭露併用明美丁及茶多酚在預防或治療臨床的神經性興奮性毒性損傷，例如腦創傷、腦局部缺血、癲癇症、腦中風及阿茲海默症有其潛在應用的價值。 The present invention discloses the combined treatment of memantine (N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor antagonist) and tea polyphenol (an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent) is more effective (synergistic) in neuroprotection than either memantine or tea polyphenol alone in excitotoxic injury. The present invention provides the potential application of memantine and tea polyphenols in preventing or treating clinical excitotoxic injury such as brain trauma, brain ischemia, epilepsy, stroke and Alzheimer's disease.
