測量魚苗心跳頻率的系統及方法

心血管系統是維持所有動物生命最重要的系統之一,透過心室肌肉的收縮將血液沿著血管運送循環全身,以達到運輸氧氣、養分與移除代謝廢物之目的。心室收縮頻率(心率)是用來評估動物心臟功能的重要指標,異常的心率將直接影響動物的心血管運輸效率,導致循環代謝的異常。魚苗的健康評估也可以心率當作指標,然而目前缺乏可以快速準確測量魚苗心率的設備與方法。本發明建立一個高效率且高精準度的設備與方法,利用影像分析技術來測量魚苗心率以提供魚苗健康狀態的評估。本發明裝置是由魚苗載盤、循環供水裝置、控溫設備、影像拍攝裝置、與電腦分析設備所組成。Cardiovascular system is one of the most vital functions in animal physiology. In order to transport oxygen and nutrition and to remove metabolic waste, blood is pumped out of heart by the sequential contraction of atrium and ventricle, and then the blood circulates through the vessel all over the body. Heart rate, the frequency of ventricular contraction, plays an important role in the estimation of animal’s health. Abnormal HR, such as tachycardia, bradycardia or arrhythmia, would directly lead to adverse effects in efficiency of circulation and metabolism. While HR has been taken as a common indicator of larval health, the lack of automatic counting technique makes the estimation laborious, inaccurate and time-consuming. To conquer the aforementioned obstacles, we developed a HR analyzing system to measure the larval HR automatically with video analyzing technique. The system is composed of a larval plate, a water circulator, a thermal controller, an air pump, a digital camera and a computer. This system can be applied to the estimation of health of larval fish or to the drug screening platform.
