技術說明

目前大概有兩種方式來擴充編譯器的暫存器，一個是利用切換bank，另外一個是differential register allocation。兩種方法能確實的擴充暫存器數量，但是往往需要新增指令或者改變指令架構，也就相對帶來許多overhead。本發明可以將暫存器擴充為兩倍，以增進執行程式的效率，有效降低記憶體的存取。使用sliding的演算法，將虛擬暫存器分配依據目前的cost來取得較好的暫存器位置，並且利用迴圈的資訊來輔助分配的順序，以達到產生效能較好、指令數量較低的程式碼 The goal is to develop a low-power and temperature management base on software technology. First, to develop a fast and accurate power estimation, we propose a approach to estimate power by using software simulator. By using the approach, the developer can get power information in a short time so the efficient of the whole experiment is increased. Second, by using the compiler techniques, we can develop an analysis flow to improve the power efficiency of programs. By applying the predefined power model, we can get the predicted application behaviors after doing the analysis. And one of our plan is to develop a multi-threading library to improve performance of applications. The library consists of two parts, the first part of a reliable multi-threading technology and the second part is the interface software development through code conversion method by using a simple description of ways to use tools the programs that generate multi-threaded.
