技術說明

本發明提供一種有效的積體電路熱模擬裝置及方法。此熱模擬裝置包含一熱分析單元和一網格數量分析單元。熱分析單元能獲得積體電路內所有功能區塊之溫度分佈，而網格數量分析單元決定每個功能區塊內的最佳網格數量。而且此熱模擬方法是先使用熱分析單元對所有功能區塊進行熱分析，以得到每個功能區塊之中心點和邊界溫度，然後利用網格數量分析單元決定每個功能區塊的最佳網格數量，並且再利用熱分析單元依據此功能區塊之邊界溫度求得此功能區塊內的每個網格之邊界溫度，進而得到此功能區塊內的每個網格之中心點溫度。 This invention proposes an efficient thermal simulation device and method for integrated circuits. The thermal simulation device includes a thermal analysis unit and a number analysis of mesh cell unit. The thermal analysis unit can obtain the temperature distribution in the function blocks of integrated circuits, and the number analysis of mesh cell unit decides optimal number of mesh cell in each function block. Furthermore, the thermal simulation method executes the thermal analysis for all function blocks to obtain the temperature in center and boundary of each function block by the thermal analysis unit. Then, the optimal number of mesh cell in each function block is decided by the number analysis of mesh cell unit. And, the temperature of the boundary on each mesh cell is obtained according to the temperature of the boundary on each function block by thermal analysis unit again. Continuously, the temperature in the center of each mesh cell inside the function block is obtained.
