技術說明

本發明係有關一種自然街景影像之文字區域偵測系統及裝置，主要係由包括搭配鏡頭的攝影機、影像捕捉卡（Frame grabber）及影像讀取單元、角點特徵運算單元、區域性色彩分布計算單元、彩色影像各色彩通道梯度峰值搜尋單元、特徵點色彩峰值特徵分群單元、特徵點空間分布分析單元等模組。搭配鏡頭的攝影機及影像捕捉卡攝取自然街景影像，並由街景影像讀取單元將影像捕捉卡所擷取的影像讀取出來，接著由角點特徵運算單元來對街景影像中所有像素點進行角點特徵評估後得到所有的特徵角點位置，區域性色彩分布計算單元針對每個角點位置進行區域性色彩分布計算得到區域色彩特徵、彩色影像各色彩通道梯度峰值搜尋單元接著對各區域色彩特徵且針對各通道進行區域性梯度峰值搜尋，後得到各個特徵點之區域色彩峰值特徵，接著由特徵點區域色彩峰值特徵分群單元將各個特徵點之區域色彩峰值特徵進行分群。最後由特徵點空間分布分析單元依照預設的空間群聚條件過濾出具有文字特徵的區域，並將該區域切出為文字區域的所在。 A text localization system and the associated device for natural scene image consist of a camera, image frame grabber, image reader, corner detection unit, color density estimation computing unit, mode finding unit for color channel distribution, feature point clustering unit for color channel distribution, and a feature space analysis unit. The camera and frame grabber capture natural scene images. The image reader loads natural scene images. Then, the corner detection unit detects corner feature points from an image. The color density estimation computing unit analyzes the color distribution for these feature points. The mode finding unit finds all distribution modes for all color channel distribution. Then, these mode features are clustered. Finally, feature space analysis unit analyzes these clustered mode features to localize the text area.
