技術說明

本發明係關於一種加工脆性材料之方法及裝置，該方法包括以下步驟：(a)提供一脆性材料，該脆性材料具有一表面；(b)將該脆性材料浸入一液體中；(c)導引一輻射束穿過該液體而沿著一預定加工路徑衝擊該脆性材料之表面，以於該脆性材料之表面形成至少一刻痕；及(d)對該脆性材料施加一橫向作用力以使該脆性材料沿著該刻痕被劈裂，其中該橫向作用力係平行於該脆性材料之表面。藉此，該橫向作用力係用以誘發缺陷擴散，進而達成劈裂該脆性材料之效果，且加工面無磨損、表面光滑平整、無粉塵、無毛邊，提供了一個低成本、快速、簡單、高穩定性且高品質的加工方式。 The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for machining a brittle material. The method includes the following steps: (a) providing a brittle material having a surface; (b) immersing the brittle material in a liquid; (c) guiding a radiation beam to pass through the liquid and strike against the surface of the brittle material along a predetermined machining path so as to form at least one notch on the surface of the brittle material; and (d) applying a lateral force to the brittle material so as to split the brittle material along the notch, wherein the lateral force is parallel to the surface of the brittle material. Whereby, the lateral force is used to induce defect propagation, and split the brittle material, wherein the surface thereof is smooth, has no abrasion, no powder, and no deckle. Therefore, the method of the present invention is a simple, flexible, fast, and clean technology.
