一種影像處理系統，用以辨識一車牌之字元，包括: 一接收模組，用以接收該車牌之影像；一字元分割模組，用以將該車牌之影像分割為複數個字元區域，每一字元區域包括複數個像素以組成一字元；以及一字元辨識模組，用以辨識每一字元區域裡的該字元；其中，該字元辨識模組先將每一字元區域進行一簡化轉換，之後將簡化轉換後的每一字元區域分割為複數個區塊以及決定每一區塊的一特徵值，並結合該等特徵值來辨識該字元。依據本發明之一特色，本發明係提出一種影像處理系統，用以辨識一車牌之字元，該系統包括：一接收模組，用以接收該車牌之影像；一字元分割模組，用以將該車牌之影像分割為複數個字元區域，每一字元區域包括複數個像素以組成一字元；以及一字元辨識模組，用以辨識每一字元區域裡的該字元；其中，該字元辨識模組先將每一字元區域進行一方向特徵擷取，之後將方向特徵擷取後的每一字元區域分割為複數個區塊以及決定每一區塊的一特徵值，並結合該等特徵值來辨識該字元。 An image processing system is provided for license plate recognition. The system comprises: an image capturing module for capturing the image of a license plate; a character segmentation module for dividing the image of the license plate into a plurality of character regions, each character region including a plurality of pixels to compose a character; and a character recognition module for recognizing the character of each character region, wherein the character recognition module performs a simplified conversion to each character region, and then each character region that has been performed with the simplified conversion is divided into a plurality of blocks to determine the feature value of each block, so as to utilize the feature values to recognize the character.
