於一種用於MIMO操作的平衡拼圖天線波束搜尋方法,一可支援N個不同天線波束的傳送端利用平衡拼圖概念將該等天線波束分成一具有偶數個對應於一天線扇區的天線波束的平衡群及一餘群,並根據一相關於對該天線扇區且利用一分層多解析度編碼簿所執行的一扇區掃描程序的估測結果的反饋信號,判定該平衡群是否含有一對應於一接收端的目標天線波束,且在判定為肯定時,根據該反饋信號及經由執行一利用該分層多解析度編碼簿的波束搜尋程序,自一擷取自該平衡群且含有該目標天線波束的子群決定出該目標天線波束,否則自該餘群決定出該目標天線波束。 In a balance puzzle antenna beam searching method for MIMO operation, a transmitter capable of supporting a number N of different antenna beams divides, using a balance puzzle concept, the antenna beams into a balance group of even antenna beams corresponding to an antenna sector, and a remainder group of other antenna beams, and determines, based on a feedback signal that is associated with an estimation result obtained by executing a sector sweeping procedure for the antenna sector using a hierarchical multi-resolution codebook, whether a target antenna beam corresponding to a receiver exists in the balance group or not. If the determination result is affirmative, the transmitter determines, based on the feedback signal, the target antenna beam from a sub-group extracted from the balance group and containing the target antenna beam by executing a beam searching procedure using the hierarchical multi-resolution codebook. Otherwise, the transmitter determines the target antenna beam from the remainder group.
