技術說明

本申請案利用魚眼鏡頭的光學幾何性質，提出以平面螢幕上可調整的圖案以及電腦視覺技術完成一相機校正系統。基於魚眼相機的一項特性：只有通過影像中心的直線在成像平面上仍保持為完整的直線；本申請案揭露一創新的方法可以自動的程序定位出相機的影像中心。同時，基於另一項特性：對於所有在三維空間中與相機光學軸相交的直線，只有與相機光學軸垂直的直線，在成像畫面上會在影像中心兩側呈現對稱的非線性失真；本申請案揭露一創新的方法找出相機的投射函數或是對應表。 本申請案所揭露的方法可以不需要預先知道投射函數的型式，並且免除了精準設置相機與校正樣板的角度與位置的繁瑣過程，從而提高了影像校正的精確度並簡化了操作難度。 Based on the geometric properties of wide angle lens, we propose a camera calibration system using adjustable patterns on a planar display and computer vision techniques. With the property that a straight line captured by a wide angle camera is still straight on the image plane only if it passes the image center, we propose a novel method to find the image center automatically. In addition, considering that for all lines pass the image center, only those perpendicular to the optic axis in the real world performs symmetric length distortion on both side of the image center, we propose a novel method to find the project function or the mapping table. With the proposed method, a prior knowledge of the project function is not necessary. Furthermore, we also eliminate the tedious processes of setting up proper positions/orientations of the camera and calibration template in high precision.
