技術說明

一種大小比較器、內含此大小比較器之內容可定址記憶體與不等寬色譜器。其中，此大小比較器可廣泛地應用於邏輯電路領域當中。此大小比較器內含串接之複數個大小比較單元，各位元比較單元含有四顆電晶體，接收前一級輸出之一種不等關係、第一數據位元與第二數據位元，以輸出此一級之不等關係。此大小比較器單元得以嵌入各種記憶體單元，以形成大小比較式內容可定址記憶體單元。前述大小比較器可減低所需電晶體數目，降低電路面積、增快運算速度，以利快速排序、仲裁與分配。 A magnitude comparator, a content addressable memory cell embedded with the same comparator cell and a non-equal bin width histogrammer based on the magnitude comparator are disclosed, in which the magnitude comparator can be generally applied in the logic field. The magnitude comparator includes multiple serial cells each of which is associated to one bit and contains four transistors for receiving an inequality value from the front stage, a first data bit and the of a second data bit and generating an inequality value to the next stage. The magnitude comparator cell can be embedded into the cell of a variety of memory to form a magnitude comparator based content addressable memory cell. The magnitude comparator can reduce the number of transistors, such that the circuit area can be reduced. In addition, the magnitude comparator can increases the computing speed to achieve quick sorting, quick arbitration and quick distribution.
