技術說明

Virtual Reality (VR) sickness has been one of the major obstacles for user experience in VR, causing symptoms similar to motion sickness. We propose a new strategy that uses minimal haptic cues to induce a possible vestibular illusion that mitigates motion sickness in VR. The patent proposes a head-worn device that establishes a head-bobbing visual pattern coupled with a footstep cue, and a system that simulates a walking experience while user is sitting.
