技術說明

發明係有關於一種Q-切換引發之增益切換鉺脈衝雷射系統，俾能利用一Q-切換元件引發一摻鉺增益介質產生一波長介於2.6-2.9微米之間之鉺雷射脈衝。首先，摻鉺增益介質係被一激發光源激發且被Q-切換而產生一第一雷射脈衝，其波長係介於1.58-1.62微米之間。此第一雷射脈衝使摻鉺增益介質在能階4I11/2與能階4I13/2之間瞬間產生正居量反轉，使得摻鉺增益介質產生波長介於2.6-2.9微米之鉺雷射脈衝。 The present invention relates to a Q-switching-induced gain-switched erbium pulse laser system, capable of generating erbium laser pulses within the 2.5 to 2.9μm wavelength region, by means of utilizing a Q-switch component. At first, the Er3+-doped gain medium is pumped and Q-switched to generate a first laser pulse at the wavelength region from 1.58 to 1.62μm. The first Q-switched pulse results in an instant positive population inversion between the 4I11/2 and 4I13/2 levels of the Er3+-doped gain medium, followed by a gain-switched erbium laser pulse at the wavelength region from 2.5 to 2.9μm.
