技術說明

本發明係利用大腸桿菌宿主表現家禽霍亂巴斯德桿菌(Pasteurella multocida)脂蛋白E (lipoprotein E, PlpE) 作為 次單位疫苗，動物實驗結果發現，本次單位疫苗在施打小鼠及雞隻後，能產生良好的保護效力，可耐過101-103 LD50之 P. multocida感染，且施打後無不良副作用。 本發明所揭露家禽霍亂疫苗次單位疫苗為目前家禽霍亂疫苗之首 例，且具有傳統疫苗所未具之優點。 Recombinant Pasteurella multocida lipoprotein E (PlpE) was produced in E. coli. The recombinant PlpE protects mice and chickens against challenge infection with 101-103 LD50 of Pasteurella multocida that cause fowl cholera. . No adverse effect was observed after the administration of PlpE. This is the first report on a recombinant protein that confers mice and chickens cross protection against P. multocida and PlpE has advantages over conventional vaccine used for the control of fowl cholera.
