本發明揭露一種判斷移動平台之自我運動量的方法，包含下列步驟：利用第一相機於第一時間及第二時間取得第一左影像及第二左影像，第二相機取得第一右影像及第二右影像；分割上述之影像為複數個第一左影像區域、第一右影像區域、第二左影像區域以及第二右影像區域；比對第一左影像區域和第一右影像區域、第二左影像區域和第二右影像區域及第一右影像區域和第二右影像區域，以找出複數個共同區域；於共同區域內選擇N個特徵點，藉此計算第一時間以及第二時間之深度資訊，並根據該等深度資訊判斷移動平台於第一時間與第二時間之間的自我運動量。 The present invention discloses a method for determining self-motion quantity of a moving platform, comprising the following steps of: using a first camera to take a first left-image and a second left-image at a first time and a second time, and using a second camera to take a first right-image and a second right-image. Dividing said images into a plurality of first left-image regions, first right-image regions, second left-image regions and second right-image. Comparing the first left-image regions with the first right-image regions, the second left-image regions with the second right-image regions, and the first right-image regions with the second right-image regions, so as to find out several common regions. Choosing N characteristic-points in the common region to calculate depth-information of the first time and the second time, and determining the self-motion quantity of the moving platform between the first time and the second time according to the depth-information.
