水溶性類胡蘿蔔素混合物及其製備方法

茄紅素是一種具備極為優越抗氧化特性的類胡蘿蔔素,備受醫學界、化粧品、保健食品和飲料界的矚目,並具有高成長率的市場需求。本研發團隊已利用基因工程方式改良菌茄紅素生物合成相關基因,以台灣本土光合菌為平台生產出茄紅素,其色素成份單純且經TLC分析、NMR光譜分析、以及質譜分析鑑定為天然茄紅素。經由茄紅素合成途徑基因序列之轉殖與突變重組後,生產菌株之茄紅素含量可增加達乾重1.65%。本研發計畫成果有助於經濟量產天然茄紅素原料。 Lycopene which is of a highly expanding market demand has attracted much attention from a variety of fields for application in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, as well as in health food and beverage. Genes involved in lycopene biosynthesis were manipulated to produce lycopene from a photosynthetic bacterium isolated in Taiwan; the extract from the manipulated bacteria was simple in pigment composition which was identified to be authentic lycopene by TLC assay, NMR, and Mass analysis. The content of lycopene in the modified bacteria could be up to 1.65% of bacterial dry weight, majorly achieved by mutation of constructed genes and random mutagenesis of the bacterial genome. The results in this research project will contribute to production of natural lycopene ingredients in an economic scale.
