生命徵象監測系統/VITAL SIGN DETECTION SYSTEM WITH RANDOM BODY MOVEMENT CANCELLATION

本發明為能用來抵制身體大動作效應之生命徵象監測系統架。此系統使用一連續波雷達加上一個可調相移器、兩個旋轉器及兩個天線,系統經由天線1發射訊號至人體之一側,反射訊號由天線1接受後,再由天線2重新發射至人體之另一側,反射訊號再由天線2接受後進入雷達並進行解調以輸出生命徵象訊號。由天線2所接收之反射訊號包括人體兩側因身體移動所造成之都普勒相移量,因彼此反相而能抵銷,另外也包括人體兩側因呼吸與心跳所造成之都普勒相移量,因彼此同相而相加後被解調為生命徵象訊號。 This invention relates to a vital sign monitoring system that can tolerate large body motion. The system uses a continuous-wave (CW) radar in conjunction with a tunable phase shifter, two circulators and two antennas to transmit a CW signal and receives the first reflection signal from one side of a human body via antenna 1. Then, with the help of the circulators, the system retransmits the received first reflection signal to the other side of the human body and receives the second reflection signal via antenna 2 for being demodulated as a vital sign signal. This second reflection signal contains two Doppler phase modulations that are caused by the movements on the opposite sides of the body, and therefore are out of phase and added to cancel each other out. In contrast, the two Doppler phase modulations associated with vital signs in the second reflection signal are in phase and added onto each other to become the output vital sign signal.
