技術說明

本發明係提供一種細胞內肝X受體(Liver X receptor，LXR)之調節劑，係包含一藻褐素(fucoxanthin)或其代謝物 – 藻褐醇(fucoxanthinol)；該調節劑係可調節該細胞內肝X受體之轉錄活性；而當其與一肝X受體促進劑共同作用時，可拮抗該肝X受體促進劑對LXRα及/或LXRβ轉錄活性之活化。另一方面，本發明亦提供一種藻褐素或其代謝物用於製備調節細胞內肝X受體組成物之用途。藉由本發明之細胞內肝X受體調節劑及其用途，可調節細胞內肝X受體之轉錄活性，進而提供作為一種LXR促進劑或抑制劑之替代物或輔助補充物，用以改善與LXR活性相關之症狀。 The present invention provides a Liver X Receptor (LXR) regulator in a cell, and the LXR regulator comprises fucoxanthin and its metabolite, fucoxanthinol. The LXR regulator can regulate the transcriptional activity of LXR in cell, and antagonize the transcriptional activity of LXRα and/or LXRβ promoted by LXR agonists. In other aspects, the present invention also provides a method for manufacture of composition of fucoxanthin or its metabolite for regulating LXR activity in cell. The LXR regulator in a cell and the application thereof according to the present invention can regulate the transcriptional activity of LXR in cell, and can further be used as alternatives for LXR agonist or antagonist, or supplements, for enhancing LXR-related symptoms.
