行車追撞機率指標系統

本計畫提出行車追撞機率指標,估測行車安全剎車距離及追撞時間,並計算行車追撞機率以警示駕駛者避免發生行車追撞事故。本計畫考慮到最重要的參數包含與前方車輛(障礙物)距離D、D(t)的變化量即dD(t)/dt值、車重、車速、路面坡度、路面情況(材質與潮濕度)與駕駛者年齡資訊等,這些參數都是能實際描述行車情形且必須考慮的。本計畫提出一創新的行車追撞機率指標並應用於行車防撞警示法則,將警示以追撞機率表示,讓駕駛者能輕易了解目前行車的追撞機率狀態以避免發生追撞事故,確保行車安全。經模擬結果顯示行車追撞機率指標可用於行車追撞警示,且駕駛者可輕易了解該機率數值所代表之意義。 This project presents a novel index of forward collision probability for to alert and to assist driver keeping safety braking distance to avoid the collision accident in highway driving. The forward collision probability index (FCPI) calculation is based on the safety braking distance and time to collision (TTC). The probability of the forward collision accident is clear to describe in the FCPI and the forward collision warning system can use the FCPI to alert the driver to avoid the forward collision accident. The reaction time of driver and pressure buildup time of braking system are all taken into account. The useful alert messages can serve as a safety assistance system for safer driving in highway. The driver could clearly understand the meaning of the FCPI.
