技術說明

憂鬱症的發生率在最近幾年有上昇的趨勢。產後憂鬱症是所有憂鬱症中較特殊的一種疾病。已知大約10% 的產婦會發生產後憂鬱的現象。輕微者影響婦女照顧嬰兒的能力，進而影響嬰兒的早期人格發育；嚴重者甚至使得婦女有傷害自己或嬰兒的行為，造成個人、家庭、社會付出極大成本。雖然造成憂鬱症及產後憂鬱症的因素相當複雜，遺傳因素已被證實扮演重要的角色 (大約佔40-70 %)。如何找出疾病相關基因，進而對診斷和治療產生幫助，就顯得日益重要。本實驗室先前的研究建立了國人基因型的資料庫。這些資料並用來針對憂鬱/焦慮症、酒癮、及雙向情緒障礙間進行關連性研究，結果發現許多基因可能與這些疾病的成因都有關連性。尤其是此專利基因的單核酸多型性在本研究即在週產期婦女焦慮和憂鬱發生之率幾乎是100％。因此可以發展有效預測週產期婦女焦慮和憂鬱發生之生物標誌，使基因體醫學之知識能運用在醫療照護服務體系。 Peripartum depression and anxiety is a special subtype of major depression and anxiety disorder. In Taiwan, there was reported to be around 10% of women suffering from postpartum depression. Several lines of evidence also support the major role of hormones in the development of major depression and anxiety disorder. Although genetic components have been known as important contributors to the development of affective disorders, the complex mode of inheritance and the involvement of locus heterogeneity leads to complexity when searching for the predisposing genes. We previously study the role of gene in the etiology of peripartum major depression and anxiety disorder. Our data revealed the polymorphism of the Patented gene is present only in women who develop major depression, anxiety disorder, or both, during the peripartum period. Thus it may represent a population-specific risk biomarker for peripartum depression /anxiety in Chinese Han
