關於本發明提供一種立體堆疊發光二極體及其製作方法。本發明之立體堆疊發光二極體,其包含有一基板;至少一堆疊於基板上的第一發光二極體;以及至少一堆疊於第一發光二極體上的第二發光二極體,第一發光二極體之能隙小於第二發光二極體之能隙。本發明利用能隙較高,波長較短的材料可以被能隙較低,波長較長的材料所發出的光穿透並混合一起發出之特性,搭配三度空間的堆疊的形式,來構成一種嶄新的混光的發光裝置,以發出所需要的光。 The present invention provides a three-dimensional light emitting diode stack and method of manufacturing the same. The three-dimensional light emitting diode stack comprises: a substrate; at least a first light emitting diode stacked on the substrate; and at least a second light emitting diode stacked on the first light emitting diode, wherein energy gap of the first light emitting diode is smaller than that of the second light emitting diode. In the present invention, a material of larger energy gap and shorter wavelength can be penetrated by lights emitted by another material of smaller energy gap and longer wavelength, and lights are mixed together and then emitted, such that the materials are put into a three-dimensional stack arrangement for forming a novel light emitting device of mixed light, so as to emit lights as required.
