More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of treating an ATG4B-related disorder comprising a step of administering a subject with an effective amount of tioconazole. The present invention relates also to a method of increasing a subject's responsiveness to a therapy for a cancer comprising inhibiting ATG4B activity in a cell, said method comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of tioconazole. The present invention also relates to a method for enhancing or inducing a response selected from the group consisting of cytotoxicity, chemosensitivity or cancer-starvation sensitivity in a cancer cell, said method comprising administering to a subject an effective amount of tioconazole by inhibiting ATG4B activity.
