利用中央極限定理之常態分佈亂數產生器及其亂數產生方法

一種利用中央極線定理,具複數個線性移位暫存器產生均勻分佈小數,與一平型計數器計數各線性移位暫存器之最大位元,再以一累計移位暫存器以產生常態分佈亂數之常態分佈亂數產生器。此一發明將習知之平行加法器縮簡為各別單一位元輸入之平行計數器,具有縮小面積95%以上、增快速度40%以上、可以數位基本元件合成與具通訊測試內建化之優點。本發明在線性移位暫存器為48個時有較佳之折衷性,有頗佳之常態分佈吻合度與亂度,適用於積體電路測試、通訊測試、蒙地卡羅分析、加密與編碼等方面之應用。 A Central-Limit Theory based random number generator by summing uniform-distribution random numbers generated by a set of linear feed-back shift registers, summed by a parallel counter and then generating normal-distribution random numbers by a accumulation-shift register. In this invention, the parallel adder of the prior art is highly reduced to a 1’s counter and thus with the following advantages: over 95% of area reduction, more than 40% of speedup, cell-based synthesizability and the capability to be built-in for communication test. The invention with 48 linear feed-back shift registers can have the better tradeoff among cost, speed, randomness, distribution-fitness and performance and suitable for the applications in IC test, communication test, Monte Carlo analyses, encryption and coding.
