技術說明

台灣金線連是台灣本地產之植物，被廣泛用於治療肝功能失常或心臟相關疾病等，或當一般功能性食品使用。但至目前極少有嚴謹之科學研究來證明金線連之藥效。 利用金線連植物萃取物為癌症預防(治療)之藥物或功能性食品，此發明中建立台灣金線連之系統性粗萃取物及進一步部分純化之分劃萃取物之製備，並訂出台灣金線連之標的成分。並利用體外及體內活性檢測系統研究發現有效之部分純化分劃萃取物，具有用來當成預防或抗癌開發潛力之功能性食品或藥物。利用標的成分，可標準化台灣金線連萃取物之成分劑量及每批萃取物之品質。 In this invention, a defined and reproducible in vivo and in vitro “bioactivity-mediated fractionation strategy and protocol” has been developed and employed to evaluate the potential anti-tumor cell effects of A. formosanus plant extracts. We show here that mechanism-specific cytotoxic activity on tumor cells obtained from specific plant extracts of A. formosanus were apparently involved in the induction of apoptosis, which is similar to the strategy and mechanism for the apototic effects on tumor cells induced by various specific single anti-cancer drug. We have established and demonstrated the HPLC fingerprinting profile and candidate index compounds of A. formosanus for the purpose of QA/QC the consistent efficacy of the plant extracts. This invention thus defines the novel usage of A. formosanus extracts and their phytochemical derivatives as potential tumor-prevention or -inhibition remedies or nutraceuticals.
