Once the laser pulse characteristics, namely laser power, pulse duration, and laser wavelength are known, the critical parameters, namely the incident laser intensity for a given thickness of the plates and the proper spacing between each pair of plates, will be predetermined systematically as described in this disclosure for efficient production of broadband supercontinuum.
