一種應用於資料處理系統中的即時反向壓縮資料系統及方法，該方法包括以下步驟：(a) 辨識舊資料與新資料之關連性，將舊資料以其與新資料之關聯性取代，新資料保持不變，資料之關聯性不限於連續資料，記錄時以被取代之舊資料為先，被參考之新資料為後的順序寫入 (b) 辨識舊資料與新資料之關連性，將新資料以其與舊資料之關聯性取代，舊資料保持不變，資料之關聯性不限於連續資料，記錄時以被取代之新資料為先，被參考之舊資料為後的順序寫入。藉此方法，達到在有限循環記憶體中，可以連續壓縮記錄資料之目的。 The invention relates to a real-time data compression method and system based on backward compression approach. The method of the invention comprises the steps of: (a) identify the relationship between the old data and the new data. Replace the old data with the relationship to the new data. The new data is kept unchanged. The relationship is not restricted to adjacent data. The storing of the data is in the order that the replaced old data is first, the unchanged new data is latter. (b) Identify the relationship between the old data and the new data. Replace the new data with the relationship to the old data. The old data is kept unchanged. The relationship is not restricted to adjacent data. The storing of the data is in the order that the replaced new data is first, the unchanged old data is latter. The method and system of the invention can compress the trace data repeatedly in the circular memory.
