技術說明

目前臨床上用來治療異位性皮膚炎的藥物主要是局部的皮質類固醇(topical corticosteroid)[例如氫皮質酮(hydrocortisone)以及特安皮質醇(triamcinolone)]，若有併發感染則進一步組合使用抗生素。然而，這些藥物可能會導致生理副作用(side effects)以及抗藥性(drug resistance)菌株的產生。因此，本團隊嘗試從傳統中藥(traditional Chinese medicines, TCM)或植物中來尋找安全並且可用以治療異位性皮膚炎的活性組分(active components)，發現由牛樟芝萃取之2,4-二甲氧基-6-甲基苯-1,3-二醇(2,4-dimethoxy-6-methylbenzene-1,3-diol)能夠有效的治療異位性皮膚炎且不具明顯副作用，可應用作為一臨床醫藥品。 Currently, the drugs mainly used for atopic dermatitis treatment are topical corticosteroids (such as hydrocortisone and triamcinolone). If there is a concurrent infection, the antibiotics are further combined. However, these drugs may cause side effects and the production of drug resistance strains. Therefore, we tried to find active components from traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) or plants that are safe and can be used for atopic dermatitis treatment. We found that 2,4-dimethoxy-6-methylbenzene-1,3-diol which extracted from Antrodia camphorata. can effectively treat atopic dermatitis without obvious side effects, and can be applied as a clinical medicine.
