技術說明

利用三顆薄膜電晶體、一個電阻、一個儲存電容和液晶電容構成具有數位類比轉換功能的畫素電路。液晶電容的RC充放電路徑由兩個電晶體作為開關，其閘極分別接到掃描線和資料線，透過外部的數位控制改變資料線上的訊號脈寬可決定充放電的時間，以此設定發光元件的灰階。第三個電晶體的閘極與汲極分別接到掃描線與共電極，經由汲極對下一個畫素預先充電。整個電路設計具備了簡單操作、迅速和低功耗的優點。增加驅動電晶體與有機發光二極體元件後，此技術也可應用在有機發光二極體面板上。 A pixel circuit integrated digital to analog convertion has been proposed by using three TFTs, a storage capacitor, a liquid crystal capacitor and a resistor. Two transistors are used as the switches, and their gates are connected to the data and scan lines, respectively. The pulse width of the data signal can be modulated to obtain different gray levels of pixel. The gate and drain electrodes of the third transistor are connected to the common voltage and scan line, respectively. The storage capacitor can be pre-charged by the drain of the third transistor. By adding the driving TFT and the OLED device, this method can also be used for OLED application.
