技術說明

本專利中，我們提出一個基於手掌旋轉角度偵測機制及類神經網路的手掌生物辨識技術。此技術主要是透過建立手掌中數條參考線段，並計算其平均斜率，用以偵測掃描影像中手掌旋轉角度。將此旋轉偵測機制與我們先前所提出的手掌生物辨識方法做整合，便可以解決先前所遭遇到手掌擺放角度的限制問題。此外，特徵點搜尋步驟亦被大幅簡化，以提高整體運算的效能。實驗結果顯示我們的技術確實可以正確地偵測掃描影像中手掌旋轉角度並定位特徵點。 We propose an improved neural-network-based palm biometric system with a rotation detection mechanism. An efficient method is developed for detecting the palm rotation angle in the scanned image by establishing reference line segments and calculating the segment slopes. By integrating this mechanism into our previous work, the limitation of palm rotation angle can be alleviated. Besides, the feature point searching step can be simplified. Experimental results have shown that the rotation of palms in scanned images can be detected and the feature points can be located correctly.
