技術說明

We report herein a palladium(II)-catalyzed and highly regioselective synthesis of orange-red light-emitting cinnolino[2,3-f]phenanthridin-9-ium salts from 2-azobiaryl compounds and alkenes through C-H olefination/cyclization under mild reaction conditions. These salts and their derivatives belong to a new family of poly-N-heterocyclic salts containing cinnolinium and phenanthridinium motifs that have attracted significant attention owing to their unique p-conjugation and potential as materials for bioimaging, organic semiconductors, and luminescent materials.
