技術說明

聚焦式超音波腦部藥物釋放為一種無創之新腦部治療手術。超音波之焦點能量經過頭骨 可以將能量聚焦至腦中深部，造成血腦屏障開啟，進而局部釋放藥物。現有技術描述利用 核磁共振影像(MRI)進行全程術中導引。然而有系統設計困難以及造價昂貴之缺點。現有 之手術導航技術相當成熟，若可藉由手術導航系統進行聚焦超音波之能量導引，則過程中 不需所有設備均設置在MRI掃描室中，可增加程序進行之彈性。本發明在描述一種結合現 有之手術導航系統，導引聚焦式超音波能量針對腦部目標點進行局部焦點處之能量釋放， 過程中超音波能量焦點可以精準的覆蓋在腦部組織中之目標點上，局部組織得以產生局部 血管通透性增加，以進行局部藥物釋放。 This invention disclosure a new technology that differs from the current design of MR-compatible focused ultrasound system is complex and has the chance to degrade the imaging quality due to the insertion of the ultrasound equipment. Instead, current commercialized neuronavigation system is mature in the use of neurosurgical process that can precisely guide the surgical tools into the deep-seated brain. The same navigation guidance approach, therefore, also have potential to guide the focused ultrasound energy to the target points by designing a procedure to transform the solid-tool guiding into virtual ultrasound focal-point guiding. This invention proposes a procedure to utilize the neuronavigation system to guide the focused ultrasound brain drug delivery procedure.
