技術說明

細菌中和汞耐受性有關的基因為mer genes群，這些基因共同組成mercury operons，mercury operons可以調控細菌對於汞化合物的代謝，因此含有mercury operons的細菌是有處理汞汙染物的潛力的。Mercury operons上的基因分別有merA、merB、merP、merT、merE、merG、merR和merD等等，它們所表現的蛋白質分別為MerA、MerB、MerP、MerT、MerE、MerG、MerR和MerD，各具有代謝汞的特定功能。 　　本技術篩選出三株菌株，均含有merA gene，可以表現出汞還原酶，將汞離子 (Hg2+) 還原成元素汞 (Hg)，並揮發至大氣中稀釋，可以有效處理受汞離子污染的水及土壤。 Bacterial mercury resistant genes are generally organized in mercury operons, which can regulate the metabolism of various mercury containing compounds. These bacteria may have the potential to remediate mercury pollution. Mercury operon contains merA, merB, merP, merT, merE, merG, merR and merD genes, that can express the following proteins, MerA, MerB, MerP, MerT, MerE, MerG, MerR and MerD, respectively. This technique had isolated 3 mercury resistant bacteria that contained merA gene. merA gene can express mercury reductase (MerA), which can reduce the mercury ion (Hg2+) to mercury element (Hg), then evaporated and diluted by the atmosphere. These bacteria are useful to remediate mercury polluted water and soil.
