一種區域式管理方法，用於一非揮發記憶體。上述區域式管理方法將非揮發記憶體的所有晶片的儲存空間劃分為實體區域、實體區塊集與實體頁面集，並且將邏輯位址空間劃分為虛擬區域、虛擬區塊與虛擬頁面。在上述非揮發記憶體之中，實體區塊集為空間分配與空間回收的最小單位，實體頁面集為資料讀寫的最小單位。上述區域式管理方法包括一種三層式位址轉換架構，用以將邏輯位址轉換為實體位址。同時還包含一個「總結頁面」的概念來存放同位元資訊，以加強毀損資料的可原還性。 A method for region-based management of non-volatile memory is provided. The method divides the storage space of all chips of a non-volatile memory into physical zones, physical block sets and physical page sets. The method also divides the logical space into virtual zones, virtual blocks and virtual pages. The physical block sets are the smallest units of space allocation and collection of the non-volatile memory. The physical page sets are the smallest units of data access of the non-volatile memory. The method includes a three-level address translation architecture, which is used to convert logical block addresses into physical addresses. Meanwhile, a concept of "summary page" is proposed to store the parity-check information so as to reinforce the correctability of corrupted data.
